Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- Optional: 1 tsp cornstarch or 2 teaspoons flour
Preparation
- Mix all ingredients together
- Store in an airtight container
Tips
Adding cornstarch or flour to the mix will help the seasoning stick to the meat and thicken the sauce.
Use 3 tablespoons of mix per 1 lb of meat along with 1 cup of water.
